Announced in April of this year, Steinbach RCMP would once again like to remind the public of the new times that Criminal Record Checks will be performed beginning in June.
Commencing June 1, 2017, Criminal Record Checks in Steinbach will only be completed from 8am to 4pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. RCMP note that the Commissionaires will still be available to complete fingerprint requests on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9am to 4pm.
A criminal record file consists of an individual’s criminal charges, convictions and discharges, as well as fingerprint information. It includes fingerprints if the individual was charged or convicted. The Criminal Record Check process verifies whether an individual has a criminal record and provides the applicant with the detailed information that can be legally disclosed.
