The City of Steinbach has announced that as of 7am on Monday, May 27, 2019, Spring road weight restrictions will no longer be in effect.
Before May 27, spring weight restrictions will continue to be posted on all gravel and asphalt surfaced streets in order to avoid roadway damage during the spring thaw period. A load restriction of 65% of the normal legal axle loadings is posted on applicable Steinbach streets, as road conditions require.
The City’s Community Services Officer will be monitoring truck activity within Steinbach. The 65% of normal axle load rules will be applied, enforced and fines issued to violators accordingly.
