The City of Steinbach has decided to postpone plans for its 2021 Canada Day celebration normally held on July 1. Less than a month away, provincial public health restrictions are not anticipated to allow for this type of event.
Despite not being able to celebrate last year, City Council and staff remain hopeful that restrictions will ease in the coming months and that a celebration will become possible later this year.
The City will continue to follow all provincial public health orders and guidelines. When provincial guidelines allow for the event to take place safely, the City will consider setting a new date, and looks forward to safely gathering together as a community in celebration.
