The City of Steinbach has decided to postpone plans for its 2021 Canada Day celebration normally held on July 1. Less than a month away, provincial public health restrictions are not anticipated to allow for this type of event.
The City of Steinbach is again postponing its Canada Day celebration, this time to an undetermined future date. A tentative postponement date had been set for September, however, COVID-19 restrictions are not anticipated to allow for the celebration to proceed at that time.
The City of Steinbach is planning a full day of celebration activities on Canada Day, Monday, July 1st. Once again, the City has teamed up with the Mennonite Heritage Village to promote family fun activities starting with free admission to the museum at 9am until the fireworks finale at 10:45pm at the Steinbach Soccer Park.
Manitoba Growth, Enterprise and Trade advises that under federal law, employers must observe Monday, July 2 as a general holiday because Canada Day falls on a Sunday this year.
