Teams and schedule for the upcoming Crown Royal Players’ Championship have been announced by the Grand Slam of Curling (GSOC). The sporting event is scheduled to take place from January 6-11, 2026, at the Southeast Event Centre in Steinbach.
The GSOC is an elite series of men’s and women’s curling events, featuring the best teams from across Canada and around the world. Awarding equal purses to both men’s and women’s teams since 2015, the Grand Slam of Curling is committed to advancing the sport on a global scale.
The final event of the GSOC season, the Crown Royal Players’ Championship, will feature 12 top men’s and 12 top women’s teams from around the world competing for a combined $480,000 prize purse. The event serves as a primer to the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, featuring world No. 1 Team Homan (Canada) and Team Mouat (Scotland), Team Jacobs (Canada), Team Y. Schwaller (Switzerland), and Team Tirinzoni (Switzerland). Canadian favourites will also take the ice, including Team McEwen and Team Einarson.
