Steinbach RCMP are reporting that a 46-year-old male from the Rural Municipality (RM) of Tache has died as the result of a recent single ATV collision.
On May 3, 2026, at 7:13pm, Steinbach RCMP responded to a report of a single ATV collision on Road 46 East in the RM of Tache.
Police, Fire and EMS attended the scene and located a male pinned underneath a flipped ATV. Officers determined the male had lost control of his ATV after attempting to negotiate a turn and the ATV landed on top of him.
RCMP report that the 46-year-old male, from the RM of Tache, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Members noted that the male was not wearing a helmet and alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this incident.
Steinbach RCMP continue to investigate.
