Vehicle collision near Lorette claims life of Dufresne teen

A 17-year-old male teen, from Dufresne, has recently died after the SUV he was driving hit the ditch on Highway 405, near Lorette, Manitoba.

On June 28, at approximately 6:45am, St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP received a report of an SUV that had hit the ditch and flipped while traveling on Highway 405. The collision is believed to have occurred sometime overnight and went unnoticed until daylight.

Officers responded to the scene and discovered that the vehicle had been severely damaged. A search for the driver began in the immediate area, who was eventually found inside the vehicle, concealed by the extent of damage to the vehicle.

RCMP report that the victim, a 17-year-old male from Dufresne, had died at the scene.
