The Steinbach Chamber is inviting the community to help recognize the outstanding businesses, organizations, and individuals who make Steinbach and the surrounding region a great place to live, work, and do business.
Nominations are now officially open for the 2026 Business Excellence Awards, an annual celebration of excellence, innovation, leadership, and community impact. The awards recognize those who have demonstrated exceptional achievement over the past year and continue to strengthen the region through their contributions.
“The Business Excellence Awards are about celebrating the people behind our thriving business community,” said Tessa Masi, Executive Director of the Steinbach Chamber. “Every successful business, non-profit, and leader has a story worth sharing. We encourage everyone to take a minute to recognize those who have made a positive impact on our community.”
Community members are encouraged to nominate deserving businesses, organizations, and individuals in the following award categories:
- Economic Driver Award (formally Large Business of the Year)
- Cornerstone Award (formally Medium Business of the Year)
- Momentum Award (formally Small Business of the Year)
- Rising Star Award
- Legacy Award
- Customer Service Excellence Award
- Non-Profit Excellence Award
Submitting a nomination is quick and easy. As an added incentive, everyone who submits a completed nomination will be entered into a draw to win two tickets to Taste of Steinbach. One contest entry is permitted per email address, and nominations must include the nominee’s name and a complete explanation of why they deserve recognition to qualify.
Recipients will be honoured at the 2026 Business Excellence Awards, bringing together business leaders, community partners, elected officials, and residents for an evening celebrating the achievements that continue to drive Steinbach forward at the Mennonite Heritage Village on November 12, 2026.
Nominations are open now and can be submitted online. The nomination deadline is September 10, 2026.
