Steinbach RCMP are very concerned about driving behaviours in local school zones after a Traffic Enforcement event resulted in 55 offence notices being issued.
Steinbach RCMP in partnership with Manitoba Public Insurance conducted Traffic Enforcement in School zones this past week on September 25 and September 26, 2017. Officers were situated in Steinbach, Mitchell, Blumenort and La Broquerie.
RCMP report that 55 offence notices were issued under the Highway Traffic Act for various violations including speeding, seatbelt violations, failure to stop at stop signs and cell phone use.
Police are very concerned with these results and are asking motorists to pay closer attention when in school zones.
