Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in an abundance of caution, Manitoba RCMP are asking the public to avoid attending detachments for non-urgent matters.

Manitoba RCMP have 80 detachments spread across the province, and each detachment is an important point of contact between the RCMP and communities served. RCMP say that it is important to remain accessible to Manitobans for when they are needed most.

For precautionary reasons due to COVID-19, effectively immediately, RCMP are asking that the public to only visit a detachment if it is urgent. If you have a non-urgent matter, have a general question or want to speak with an officer, please call your local detachment.

Also noted is that fingerprinting services for background checks are being postponed until further notice.

As always, if there is an emergency, please call 911 or your local emergency number.
