Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating the theft of a travel trailer from a Steinbach property. The theft occurred sometime overnight between May 8 and 9, 2021.

Manitoba Conservation and Climate advises that with the fire risk being high to extreme across much of the province, additional fire and travel restrictions and an immediate ban on campfires are being implemented to ensure the safety of Manitobans and the prevention of new fire starts.

All Manitobans are urged to use extra caution and be mindful of any activity that could result in a wildfire starting and quickly getting out of control in the current extremely dry conditions.

Due to this spring’s continued dry conditions, the Rural Municipality of Hanover is reinstating their Fire Ban for the entire municipality, effective at 12pm on Thursday, May 13, 2021.
