After months of preparation, Manitoba will begin to implement its COVID-19 vaccination plan as early as next week, once the first doses of the Pfizer vaccine supplied by the federal government arrive in the province.

Between November 30 and December 6, 2020, Manitoba RCMP handed out a total of 285 warnings and 85 tickets related to COVID-19 enforcement. Total fines were over $122,000.

The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 13.5 per cent provincially and 14.5 per cent in Winnipeg. As of 9:30am on December 9, 2020, 280 new cases of the virus have been identified. In the past few weeks the Steinbach RCMP have started to see an increase in CRA and Social Insurance Warrant frauds by telephone. RCMP are warning to be extra vigilant when receiving, either by telephone, mail, text message or email, a fraudulent communication that claims to be someone from the Canada Revenue Agency or the police.
