The Manitoba Wildfire Service advises that due to continued dry conditions and hot weather, the fire danger across south and central regions of Manitoba are approaching high to extreme, while danger levels in the north are moderate and continue to increase as well.

Manitoba public health officials are warning people of an extended period of heat forecast for Manitoba, with many areas of the province already affected. The province are advising the public to be prepared and plan for the heat.

The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 6.2 per cent provincially and 5.6 per cent in Winnipeg. As of 9:30am on June 30, 2021, 70 new cases of the virus have been identified. The total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba to 56,167.

All people aged 12 and up are now eligible to make their first or second-dose appointment. The date of the second appointment must be at least 28 days after the first vaccination.

Red River North RCMP are asking the public for any information into the whereabouts of a missing man from West St. Paul, 41-year-old Kienan (Kenny) Tran.

Morris RCMP are asking the public for any information into the whereabouts of a missing female teen from Emerson, 13-year-old Airiel Ferreira.

From Wednesday, June 30 to Sunday, July 4, the Leila super site in Winnipeg will be offering walk-in Pfizer doses for youth aged 12 to 17. Approximately 330 doses will be available daily. In anticipation of significant demand, individuals in line will be given a colour-coded ticket, which will identify a time-slot later the same day when they will be able to get their vaccine.
