The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 6.2 per cent provincially and 5.8 per cent in Winnipeg. As of 9:30am on June 28, 2021, 61 new cases of the virus have been identified. The total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba to 56,036.

Manitoba Public Insurance filed its provisional 2022/23 General Rate Application with the Public Utilities Board (PUB) today, requesting an average rate decrease of 2.8 per cent. Effective immediately, all people are now eligible to make their second dose appointment. The date of the appointment must be at least 28 days after the first vaccination. All people aged 12 and up are eligible to book their first-dose appointments.

The Manitoba government has completed mailing approximately 244,426 education property tax rebate cheques to owners of residential, farm and commercial properties in municipalities with a June 30, 2021 property tax deadline. Rebates valued at more than $146 million were sent to property owners in Winnipeg, Brandon and Dunnottar.
