On October 12, 2016, Steinbach RCMP received a report of a vehicle that was stolen from an address on Quail Ridge Place in Steinbach. Shortly thereafter, police received a report of a motor vehicle fire on Hespeler Road South in Steinbach.

The focus of this year’s Fire Prevention Week campaign is knowing the age of smoke alarms, Growth, Enterprise and Trade Minister Cliff Cullen, minister responsible for the Office of the Fire Commissioner, announced.

On September 18, 2016, at approximately 7:30pm, Little Grand Rapids RCMP were dispatched to a house fire at a local residence.

A 12-year-old male youth has been arrested in relation to a fire at the Shamattawa First Nation Band Office.

A mother and her three children were rescued from a residential property in Dauphin due to a fire spreading from an adjacent property.

On August 26, 2016 at approximately midnight, Portage la Prairie RCMP were called to a local residence on 15th Street that was engulfed in flames.
