On September 18, 2016, at approximately 7:30pm, Little Grand Rapids RCMP were dispatched to a house fire at a local residence.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers were told by witnesses that people were still inside the residence. Smoke could be seen coming out of the windows, front door and chimney. Police then noticed a female exiting the home. She had been coughing on the steps as officers removed her to safety. Three officers then entered the residence and were immediately surrounded by smoke. Once inside, an unconscious male was found and removed from the building. A medical van driver then assisted in getting a barely conscious female out of the residence.

RCMP report that the three victims were transported to the Nursing Station in stable condition. The officers were examined and treated for smoke inhalation.

No foul play is suspected in this incident.
