Premier Heather Stefanson welcomed three new members and a well-respected former member into the provincial cabinet today and unveiled new and reframed portfolios to address the ongoing challenges posed by COVID-19, plan for economic growth and recovery, and better focus on the priorities of all Manitobans.

The Manitoba government is planning to open the fourth session of the 42nd legislature on the afternoon of November 23, 2021, with the reading of the speech from the throne by Lt.-Gov. Janice C. Filmon.

On November 2, 2021, Heather Stefanson was sworn in as the 24th premier of Manitoba at the Manitoba Legislative Building, accompanied by her family, friends, colleagues and community leaders.

Manitoba’s government is setting the course for an ambitious plan that will make the province the most improved in Canada.
