Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) will begin restoring full services for customers across the province on Friday, November 3, following the ratification of a new collective bargaining agreement with the Manitoba Government and General Employees’ Union (MGEU), ending the 10-week labour interruption.

The Manitoba government has appointed a new board of directors for Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) in an effort to resume services and return financial accountability to the Crown corporation.

Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) is resuming appointments for hail claim estimates next week. The combination of ongoing labour interruption along with a sharp increase in the number of hail claims in 2023 has required MPI to put additional measures in place to support customers.

Effective immediately, Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) has announced that is pausing its plans to waive the Class 5 road test requirement for eligible graduates of the Driver Z program. These eligible graduates will continue to be required to complete a Class 5 road test.
