The governments of Canada, Manitoba and the Rural Municipality (RM) of Taché, have officially celebrated the groundbreaking for the new Taché Community Centre project.

The Manitoba government has announced that it is investing $5 million toward the construction of a new community complex in the Rural Municipality (RM) of Taché.

RCMP Eastman Traffic Services are reporting that a 39-year-old Winnipeg man has been arrested and charged resulting from a traffic stop that led to the discovery of a hand gun and alcohol.

A Ste. Anne man, along with a woman from Winnipeg, were recently arrested and charged after Steinbach RCMP responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle in the Rural Municipality of Tache.

The RM of Taché Fire Department’s Landmark Hall is set to become the first Hope’s Cradle safe surrender site in Manitoba, the second in Canada. The first was installed at the Strathmore Fire Station in Alberta last year.

Joint funding from federal and provincial governments, totaling more than $39 million, has been allocated for the construction of a regional mechanical wastewater treatment facility and collection network to service Niverville and the RMs of Ritchot, Hanover, and Tache.

Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating a theft incident that occurred at a gravel pit in the Rural Municipality of Tache. Police also say that mischief was done to the property at the time of the incident.

A 30-year-old La Broquerie man is in serious condition after recently colliding head-on with another vehicle at a location near Deacon’s Corner in the RM of Tache, Manitoba.
