On December 23, 2020, 490 people were immunized against COVID-19 and a total of 2,177 immunizations have been given since vaccine arrived in Manitoba earlier this month. One adverse event following immunization has been reported in Manitoba to date.

On December 22, 2020, 495 people were immunized against COVID-19 and a total of 1,687 immunizations have been given since vaccine arrived in Manitoba earlier this month. No adverse effects following immunization have been reported in Manitoba to date.

As more COVID-19 vaccine is delivered to Manitoba in in the coming weeks, the province will expand eligibility criteria to help protect more health-care workers and those most at risk of serious illness from the virus. These adjustments will include progressively immunizing a broader range of health-care workers, residents of personal care homes and elderly Manitobans.

All of the 1,300 COVID-19 immunization appointments for this week have been booked by eligible health-care providers with 298 eligible health-care workers being immunized with the COVID-19 vaccine.

The Manitoba government is inviting 900 additional priority health-care workers to book COVID-19 immunization appointments next week following confirmation of Manitoba’s second shipment of the Pfizer vaccine.

The Manitoba government launched its first COVID-19 immunization clinic this morning to deliver the life-saving vaccine to the first priority group of health-care providers, Premier Brian Pallister announced today.

With a limited supply of the COVID-19 vaccine tentatively scheduled to arrive in Manitoba in the coming days, the province has started booking 900 appointments for its first immunization clinic. As of this morning, about half of those spots remain available for eligible health-care providers to book.

To protect health care workers and the stability of our health care system, the Manitoba government has identified the first priority population group that will receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The first immunization clinic will possibly open on Wednesday.

After months of preparation, Manitoba will begin to implement its COVID-19 vaccination plan as early as next week, once the first doses of the Pfizer vaccine supplied by the federal government arrive in the province.
