On September 14, 2012, just before 9pm, Shoal Lake RCMP as well as local emergency services were dispatched to the scene of a collision involving a pickup truck and motorcycle. The accident occurred at the intersection of Station Road and 1st Avenue in Shoal Lake.
Investigation indicates that a 2008 Honda motorcycle was traveling south when it was collided head-on with a northbound 2003 Dodge pick-up truck.
Police say that the driver of the motorcycle, a 22-year-old man from Shoal Lake, was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The driver of the pick-up truck, a 54-year-old man from Shoal Lake, was not injured.
An RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst attended to assist with the ongoing investigation.
There were no other persons or vehicles involved.
