A Keeseekoowenin First Nation man is facing drug trafficking charges after being arrested by police earlier this week.

Cocaine seized

Cocaine seized from a residence on Keeseekoowenin First Nation was found in a baggie and flaps.

On November 21, 2012, Yellowhead RCMP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on Keeseekoowenin First Nation, near Shoal Lake.

Officers seized 15 grams of cocaine in total as well as drug paraphernalia and other related items. Police sat that the cocaine was found in a baggie and flaps and has an estimated value of about $1,500.

36-year-old Sean Timothy Blackbird of Keeseekoowenin First Nation was arrested at the residence and has since been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine) and trafficking cocaine under the CDSA.

Blackbird is currently held in custody and will appear in Brandon court on December 18, 2012.
