Steinbach RCMP are concerned with the number of occurrences being reported to police involving the use of a narcotic, sold on the streets of Steinbach, known as fentanyl.

Police responded to several occurrences this past weekend, including multiple driving offences and overdose situations, where the narcotic was a factor in the investigation.

Police would like the public to be aware that fentanyl is dangerous. They are advising all members of the public to obtain as much information as possible about the narcotic and to educate themselves to the severity of the use of the narcotic.
