On July 19, 2015, at approximately  6pm, officers from Prairie Mountain Area responded to a report of a robbery that had just occurred at a convenience store in Valley River First Nation.

Police investigation revealed that a lone male entered the store and after using the washrooms, approached the counter and pushed the cashier. The suspect then proceeded to steal an undisclosed amount of money from the register.

The suspect is described as a young aboriginal male, tall, with short dark hair, wearing a black hat and a black jacket. The male suspect was observed leaving the scene in a newer white 4 door vehicle.

RCMP report that no weapons were used during the robbery and that the employee did not suffer any injuries.
