On November 28, 2015 at approximately 4:30am, Prairie Mountain RCMP received a report of a male shooting a firearm at a residence in the Valley River First Nation.

On July 19, 2015, at approximately 6pm, officers from Prairie Mountain Area responded to a report of a robbery that had just occurred at a convenience store in Valley River First Nation.

On May 22, 2011, just after 6:30am, Roblin RCMP as well as the Shell River Fire Department were dispatched to the scene of a fatal house fire on the Valley River FN.

During the early morning hours of April 12, 2009, the Roblin RCMP with assistance from the Ethelbert and Grandview RCMP, executed a search warrant issued under the controlled drugs and substances act at a residence on Valley River First Nation, Manitoba.
