Seeding was completed and the irrigation was turned on yesterday at the newly graded football field at Steinbach’s A.D. Penner Park.
The lines, installed by Image Sprinkler and Sod, use water from the parks pond to water the playing field and will be turned on during hot and dry weather for the remainder of the season.
Construction on the field began the last week in July and will be completed this fall, for use in August 2011.
