Starting Monday, September 19th, the City of Steinbach’s Waterworks Department will be busy reading water meters in Steinbach.
These readings will provide the basis for the quarterly utility bills issued in November.
Meter reading is conducted by two Waterworks Department employees and takes 5 to 7 days to complete. These City employees can be identified by their safety vests and the City of Steinbach identification cards that they carry.
Meter readings are not invasive, unless the meter is located inside the house or the read-out is not working, in which case City employees will request entry into the house.
