On July 30, 2011, at about 11pm, Swan River RCMP, Pine River Fire Department and Parkland EMS responded to a fatal motor vehicle collision east of Cowan, MB.
In 2010, police-reported crime in Canada continued its downward trend. Both the volume and severity of crime fell from the previous year, down 5% and 6% respectively.
On July 29, 2011, shortly after 5pm, Deloraine RCMP Detachment were dispatched to a single vehicle collision on Provincial Road 450.
On July 30, 2011, at about 8 am, RCMP “D” Division were called in to assist the Dakota Ojibway Police Service into the death of a female, located on Sandy Bay FN.
On July 29, 2011, shortly before 2:30am, Winnipegosis RCMP were dispatched to a shooting incident outside a residence on Pine Creek FN.
After nearly a year-long investigation, RCMP have now charged 36-year-old Lois Corrine Cook of Berens River FN with manslaughter in connection with the death of Dave Hudson.
RCMP continue to investigate the disappearance of 33-year-old Nancy Joyce Swenty of the RM of Fisher near Fisher Branch, Manitoba.
On July 29, 2011 at 11:30pm, Headingley RCMP Traffic Services and EMS responded to a vehicle rollover near McGillvray Boulevard.
On July 30, 2011 at 2:45am, Stonewall RCMP Detachment along with EMS were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover on Inkster Boulevard and Klimpke Road in the RM of Rosser.
On July 29, 2011, shortly before 7am, Powerview RCMP received a report of a single vehicle rollover on Highway 304 north of Powerview.
