In 2010, police-reported crime in Canada continued its downward trend. Both the volume and severity of crime fell from the previous year, down 5% and 6% respectively.

After nearly a year-long investigation, RCMP have now charged 36-year-old Lois Corrine Cook of Berens River FN with manslaughter in connection with the death of Dave Hudson.
RCMP continue to investigate the disappearance of 33-year-old Nancy Joyce Swenty of the RM of Fisher near Fisher Branch, Manitoba.
On July 29, 2011 at 11:30pm, Headingley RCMP Traffic Services and EMS responded to a vehicle rollover near McGillvray Boulevard.
On July 30, 2011 at 2:45am, Stonewall RCMP Detachment along with EMS were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover on Inkster Boulevard and Klimpke Road in the RM of Rosser.
On July 29, 2011, shortly before 7am, Powerview RCMP received a report of a single vehicle rollover on Highway 304 north of Powerview.
On July 28, 2011, at 4am, Island Lake RCMP Detachment were advised that the RCMP truck stored at the Manitoba Hydro compound in Red Sucker Lake was on fire.
