On November 12, 2014, Leaf Rapids RCMP responded to a report of an explosive device at the Leaf Rapids Education Centre.

On June 19, 2013, at about 4:30pm, Waywayseecappo RCMP were advised of what appeared to be some type of explosive device located in the backyard of a residence situated on Highway 45 on the west end of the community.

On August 23, 2011, just after 3pm, a 43-year-old man from the RM of Portage la Prairie attended the local RCMP Detachment to turn in a hand grenade that he had found.

On December 17, 2010 at about 11pm, St. Pierre Jolys RCMP Detachment were dispatched to a complaint of a home made explosive device.

On November 18, 2010, Thompson RCMP executed search warrants at two apartments in the Burntwood area.

On October 23, 2010 at 6:30pm, St. Pierre RCMP Detachment were contacted by two teens who stated they located what appeared to be rockets on the edge of the Rat River in the RM of Ritchot.
