Manitoba Conservation advises that due to the extremely dry conditions and high forest fire danger in eastern Manitoba (areas 1, 2 and 3), there will be a ban on all fires including all campfires in provincial parks, effective immediately.

On July 26, 2011, at about 10:30pm, RCMP members received a call of a residential fire in the community of Berens River FN.

On July 22, 2011 shortly after 3pm, RCMP Manitou Detachment along with fire fighters from Manitou, La Riviere and Darlingford, responded to a poultry barn fire near Manitou.

On July 3, 2011 at about 6am, Dauphin RCMP Detachment along with local Fire and Emergency Services were dispatched to a residential fire in Dauphin.

Two Flin Flon residents are facing drug related charges after fire fighters discovered a grow-op while extinguishing a house fire.

On June 7, 2011, at about 3:15pm, Portage RCMP along with the Austin, MacGregor and Carberry Fire Departments and MacGregor EMS, responded to a residential fire just east of Sidney, MB in the RM of Norfolk.

On June 6, 2011, at approximately 10pm, Killarney RCMP and Ninette Fire Department were dispatched to a house fire in the village of Ninette.

On May 24, 2011, at about 1:30pm, Fisher Branch RCMP were dispatched to the scene of a two story residence on fire in Fisher Branch.

On May 22, 2011, just after 6:30am, Roblin RCMP as well as the Shell River Fire Department were dispatched to the scene of a fatal house fire on the Valley River FN.

On May 21, 2011 at approximately 2:53am, Steinbach RCMP responded to a large hog barn fire with a very large feeder barn located in the RM of Hanover.
