Obituary

Melvin Gordon Walter Friesen, age 73, of Steinbach, MB, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB

He leaves behind his daughter Karen and four grandchildren, son Mike and his family, two sisters and one brother.

Melvin loved his time as a volunteer at Bethesda Place. He loved his old cars and now he has rode off into sunset heaven, leaving many people remembering his famous quote “Don’t feel sorry for me, there is always someone else worse off than me”.

Mel had a Strong faith, it was that faith he relied on as his journey was coming to an end. Mel had found peace and made the most of his time here with us all.

No formal service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Roseau River Bible Camp.
