Obituary

Jessie Klassen (nee Friesen), age 93, of Steinbach, MB passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at the Bethesda Place Personal Care Home, Steinbach, MB.

She will be lovingly remembered by two daughters Dorothy (George) and Jessie (Sonny); and four sons Harold (Mary), Cornie (Caron), Larry (Carol) and Melvin. She also leaves to cherish her memory 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters-in-law.

She was predeceased by her husband Cornie in 2008, one daughter in infancy, her parents, five brothers and four sisters.

Mom was a hard worker and willing to help whenever needed. Mom and Dad were very involved with the Mitchell Seniors Centre and volunteered there for many years. Mom also loved bowling, camping and playing games. Her family meant a lot to her and we felt her love in all that she did for us and in her prayers for us.

We would like to thank the staff at Bethesda Place Personal Care Home for the wonderful care they gave our mom for the last nine years.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB, with viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at Mitchell Memorial Gardens, Mitchell, MB, following the meal.

If friends so desire, donations in memory of Jessie may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
