Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear loving mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister, Susie Hiebert on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 in the morning at the Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB., at the age of 90 years.

Mom will be greatly missed by her 14 children. Marie (John) Funk, Cornie (Anne), Kathy (Lon) Petruic, John (Becky), George (Betty), Dick (Karen, Anne), Joy (Ivan) Duchcherer, Liz (Archie) Chabot, Marge (Harold) Trapp, Abe (Bernice), Frieda (Ernie) Froese, Esther (Bob) Banman, Ruth, Susan (Gary) Friesen, her special dog, Daisy, 62 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, four sisters, seven brothers and their families.

Mom was predeceased by her husband, Bill, one grandson, one granddaughter, one sister and three brothers.

Viewing will be on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 7:00 p.m., with a devotional at 8:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.

A celebration of Mom’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Steinbach Evangelical Mennonite Church, with viewing an hour prior to the service.

We, the family would like to thank Dr. Allen, the nurses and health aides on the main floor at the Bethesda Regional Hospital for their compassionate care during Mom’s stay.
