Obituary

Graham died very suddenly on Thursday, March 14, 2019. He suffered a catastrophic stroke in the cerebellum the previous day. Since that part of the brain runs all of our core functions he did not survive. We believe this was the result of damage done over time to his arteries as a result of the diabetes he had suffered from since January 2000. He was 55.

Graham enjoyed simple things in life like working the land, tending to animals, being with people, telling stories, and listening to music. He was gentle, honest, kind & always ready to lend a helping hand. He accepted what life brought his way without complaint. He had lots of courage & could fix anything, no job too big or too small to tackle. Graham was a fountain of knowledge about many things, but particularly music. He could tell you about most of the artists we heard on the radio and should have been a DJ. Likewise, his instincts around animals were legendary. He would have been a wonderful vet. He had a memory like an elephant, could picture faces and conversations from childhood forwards, and could tell you the year and model and colour and repair history of every one of the many cars he had worked on and those of his friends too.

He’ll be remembered for his quick wit & great sense of humor. There was no one who loved a good laugh more! He was always coming up with ridiculous comments just to make people laugh, especially his mother, He cherished his mother. His devotion & care for her was a testament of endearing love. He always made sure she was comfortable & wanted her to be happy. Recently he had found even more happiness as love blossomed for him and Judy. They worked wonderfully together, a great team & were to get married in July. Graham will forever hold a special place in each of our hearts.

A memorial will be held Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the farm between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. All are welcome.
