Obituary

Wendell Pauls passed away on Tuesday June 11, 2019.

Wendell is survived by his three children Dallas (Giselle), Lindsay Rae (Trev), and Nykolas, their mothers, and families.

He was predeceased by his father Peter and his sister Celia.

Wendell was born on April 27, 1957 in Morden, Manitoba to Peter and Nancy Pauls, third of six children in this wild bunch. He loved to mess in the dirt, rough house with the family dog, tease the neighbors ruthlessly and manipulate anything with moving parts.

Wendell was a generous man, and a real “life of the party”. He struggled with alcoholism through most of his life. It was this which resulted in his death by suicide.

Wendell loved his family. We cherish the times that we had and mourn the many that we missed, including those to come.

The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB., followed by a private family ash interment.

The family wishes to express our appreciation to the Steinbach RCMP, Steinbach Towing, Alcoholics Anonymous, and the many friends that have supported, encouraged, and walked alongside our father in his journey.

The family has been greatly blessed by the many expressions of sympathy we have received in messages, phone calls, visits, flowers and donations. If friends desire, donations can be made to support Wendell’s children and assist with funeral expenses.
