Obituary

On Sunday, July 21, 2019, our beloved mother Debbie Sobering, of Marchand, MB., passed away peacefully, at the age of 63, with her family at her bedside.

She will forever be remembered by her children: Danny Cougnon (Jolene Therrien), Terra Sobering (Matthew Lyseyko) and Ashley Funk (Tyler Funk). Mom’s memory will live on in the hearts of her seven grandchildren: Taylor, Jordan, Seth, Liam, Harper, Sophie and Beckem; as well as in the hearts of sister Diane (Jerry Chabot) and brother Allan Delorme (Terry Delorme). Debbie is also survived by the father of her daughters Terry Sobering. Debbie will also be forever remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

She was predeceased by her mother and father, Rose and Wilfrid Delorme, sisters Irene and Anita, brothers Armand, Arthur, Danny and father of her son Ronny Cougnon.

Debbie had various jobs throughout her life but had spent the last 18 years as an Admitting Clerk in the emergency department of the Ste. Anne Hospital. During her time there, she made many great memories and formed special bonds with both the patients and staff. Her greatest joy in life was her family and the countless hours she spent cherishing and caring for her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all.

A private ash interment has already taken place.

Please join us for dainties and refreshments in celebration of Debbie’s life, on Thursday, July 25, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at the Marchand Community Hall, Marchand, MB.

The family would like to thank all the amazing doctors and nurses at both the Ste. Anne and Steinbach hospitals as well as the Palliative Care Team in Steinbach for their wonderful care and support.
