Leonard was born on November 5th, 1941 in Sarto, Manitoba where he was raised at the family homestead with 5 brothers. After marrying love of his life Sally, they moved to the city for work, and shortly after moved back to the country where his love for horses and farming became his passion. He was a very cheerful individual that never complained about anything, loved visiting with friends and family and most definitely dancing. Leonard helped many family members and friends with whatever he could and was a passionate Ukrainian above all.
