Obituary

Mel Koop, aged 83 years, of Steinbach, MB., passed away of Thursday, January 16, 2020, at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB.

Dad leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 60 years, Mary, their five sons and five daughters-in-law – Howard (Jane), Barry (Tracy), Myron (Susan), Conroy (Sheila), Garth (Carly) – 20 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a large extended family.

He was predeceased by his brother John.

The viewing will be held on Monday, January 20, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. followed by a devotional at 7:30 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.

The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Steinbach Evangelical Mennonite Church, Steinbach, MB.

Interment to take place at Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach, MB., prior to the service.

If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Melvin Koop may be made to Evangelical Mennonite Conference Missions.

Special thanks to the doctors and nurses who cared for dad in his final days.
