Obituary

With broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Nathan Joel Giesbrecht on Friday, February 21, 2020 at the age of 38 years.

Nathan was born November 28, 1981 in Winnipeg to Debbie and Garry Giesbrecht. He graduated from the SRSS in Steinbach and attended the University of Manitoba. Nathan enjoyed a decade long career at The Steinbach Fly-In Golf Course and further pursued his passion for golf at other facilities. Nates then carved out a career for himself in computer programming and web design.

Nathan is survived by his mother Debbie, father Garry (Lynn), brother Jeremy (Emily), along with family, friends, his fur baby, Bagheera.

Nathan was predeceased by his Grandma Mary (Giesbrecht) and Grandpa Herman (Loewen).

Nathan nurtured a large community of friends around his many interests such as golf, baseball, ping pong, computers, football and hockey.

Nathan’s loving and generous spirit will be celebrated on Saturday, March 7th, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Nathan may be made to the Manitoba Heart & Stroke Foundation; 1379 Kenaston Blvd, Winnipeg, MB R3P 2T5.
