Obituary

Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the age of 69, Allan K. Plett of Blumenort, MB was taken up in the arms of the angels to be with his Lord and Savior.

It is with sadness and fond memories that we say good-bye to Allan. He is survived by his son Ian (Tammy), 3 grandchildren Brittany (Jason) Andres, Alyssa (Cornel) Botha, Andrew Jac and 1 great-grandson Elliot Andres; his mother Minna, brother Dennis and sisters Elsie, Florence, Doris, Marlene, Kathy and many nieces and nephews.

Allan was predeceased by his father Andrew, brother Vern and sister Naomi.

Allan was born on October 31, 1950 in Chihuahua Mexico. He moved to Canada with his parents at the age of 13. At the age of 15, Allan was baptized on the confession of his faith in Jesus. He attended Bible school where he got the nick name Enoch. He was very passionate in studying his Bible. He was a person most comfortable by himself and enjoyed reading, underlining parts that were extra meaningful to him. At the age of 20, he was diagnosed as being schizophrenic. His work passion was driving. He drove truck most of his working career, but also enjoyed driving farm machinery. In his later years, driving a tractor in the parade for Rolly Wiebe, also a dear friend, was a big highlight. Going for coffee, going for walks and enjoying the outdoors were also highlights. He had a fascination for eagles and he can now enjoy God’s vast outdoors in the life beyond without pain.

A celebration of life will be planned once large group restrictions have been lifted.

If friends so desire, donations can be made to assist the family with funeral expenses.
