Obituary

Evelyn Goertzen, aged 87 years, of Steinbach, MB., went to be with the LORD on Wednesday, August 12, 2020.

Evelyn was born on December 12, 1932.

She passed away at Rest Haven Care Home, where she received loving and compassionate care.

Evelyn leaves behind one brother, Peter (Mary), one sister, Nora (John), three sisters-in-law: Susie Harder, Aggie Smith and Mary Goertzen; along with many nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was predeceased by her husband John H. Goertzen in 2008, he was the love of her life. She was also predeceased by four sisters and four brothers.

The family wishes to express gratitude and thanks to the staff at Cedarwood and Rest Haven Care Home for their kindness, care and compassion.

The service will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB., with viewing one hour prior to the service.

Interment to follow at Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach, MB.
