Obituary

God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. There shall be no more death. Neither shall there be any more sorrow nor crying nor pain, for the former things have passed away. Revelation 21:4

But those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

Rebecca Ann Wyllie Reimer, aged 12 years, passed away peacefully in her Daddy’s arms, on November 13, 2017 at Children’s Hospital, Winnipeg, MB.

Becky is survived by: her parents Rod & Diane, brother Ian, sister Abby, and brother Cameron. Also survived by grandparents Don and Marg Wyllie; Auntie Carolyn, Uncle Howard, Jami, Justin, and Ryan; Uncle Graham, Skye, Zach, and Janel; Auntie April, Uncle Orville, Kari (Riley), Allyson (KP), and Erin (Ty). Also survived by grandparents Peter and Nina Reimer; Uncle Peter, Auntie Lauralee, Kaitlyn, Ashtyn, and Mitchell; Auntie Pam, Uncle Leonard, Janelle, Jake, and Carly.

Becky was fortunate enough to have a second family that loved her so much and took her on many adventures. She is survived by Jayne and Shane Jones, Sheena, Harley, Harris, Sirena, Sierra, Rainy, and Bentley.

Becky had a love for life and mischief like no other. She took pleasure in waiting until everyone had let their guard down, and then caused as much damage as she could. Always with a giggle and a sparkle in her eye. The greater the damage or the reaction of the person she inflicted it on, the more joy she experienced! In spite of the many obstacles she faced, she was always willing to persevere to reach the desired goal.

She had two families that loved her and were privileged to care for her. Her biological/boring family, and her “fun family” (Jayne and Shane Jones), where she spent much time at respite. Jayne believed in Becky and together they were a fearsome duo, who had many great adventures that most people would never have thought possible.

A celebration of Becky’s life will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach, with refreshments to follow. There will be a private interment for immediate family at the Monominto Cemetery, following the reception.

Many thanks to the support that has been given to our family over the years by grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, respite workers, school, medical professionals, and friends! We have all been blessed and are better people for knowing Becky! She loved us all, no matter what.

If friends so desire, donations in memory of Becky may be made to the Christmas Cheer Board, or to Siloam Mission. Becky loved Christmas and we want to share her love and the love of Jesus Christ our Saviour with the community around us!

Strength and honor are her clothing, and she will rejoice in time to come. Proverbs 31:25
