Obituary

It is with heavy hearts we say good-bye to our amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Eugene who passed away suddenly on Friday, July 23, 2021.

Loving husband and best friend of Noella Bourgeois-Nault. Loving father to his children: John (Sabrina), Don (Allison), David, Brittaney (Craig), Kristan, Shirley, Serena and Autumn and grandchildren. During their 25 years of marriage, Eugene and Noella were parents to many other children, welcoming them into their loving home. Eugene is survived by his siblings: Doris (Aime), Louis (Gisele), Brian (Lisa), Sharon (Marcel), Rose (Mitch).

Predeceased by his parents William and Jeanne Nault. Eugene will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, his extended family, along with Noella’s entire family.

Eugene’s greatest joy in life was his family. He was so proud and thankful for all of his children and their families. He was hard working, a wonderful provider for his family and had a beautiful and huge heart. Eugene believed in taking responsibilities in associations to which he belonged. Thus, he spent many years volunteering as a leader of the 1st Richer Scouts. He was also one of the founding members of Richer Fire Department serving the community from its beginning.

Eugene enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved music and one of his favourite pastimes was playing his guitar with friends and family around the campfire at their beloved cabin at Whispering Pines. He liked the outdoors and spent time dog sledding and raising huskies with his sons when they were young. Eugene was loved by everyone and especially children due to his caring, gentle nature which earned him the title of #1 Dance Dad. Eugene was a kind and talented man, a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all those who were touched by his gentle giving spirit.

He was a very proud employee, starting at Jules Godard Forestry Products and then moving on to a significant career at Berger Peat Moss.
