In 1947 Peter met the love of his life, Mary Smook, and Peter and Mary were married on June 19, 1948.

In 1973 he built a dairy barn and started to dairy, acquiring 35 cows, growing it to become a financially successful venture.

Dad enjoyed having his own orchard on his farm, over the 50 years of orcharding he has left a huge assortment of beautiful fruit trees for his family.

Peter and Mary have had a wonderful life together and celebrated 73 years of marriage. Even after many years of living together, they still had nick names of endearment for each other, dad would call mom his flower, and mom would call dad her honeybee.

Good-bye Dad, you were our rock and our strength. We will miss you dearly but know that you are at peace.

Our family would like to thank the Centre médico-social De Salaberry District Health Centre in St. Pierre MB, for their exceptional care and genuine respect, for which we extend our heartfelt appreciation.
