Obituary

Surrounded by his loving family it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Abe Wiebe, aged 64 years, of Ste. Anne, Manitoba, on Wednesday, November 24th, 2021.

He is survived by his loving wife Maria, his daughter Gwendolyn (Scott), his son Christian, three grandchildren: Teah, Shaylin, and Daemon; along with two great-grandchildren: Bane and Kailux.

Abe was predeceased by his mother Susie, father Peter, and brother Willie.

He was born on March 30th, 1957, in Steinbach, Manitoba. Abe met Maria at age 16 and they were married at the tender age of 17. They spent 47 years building a legacy of love, support, respect, and encouragement.

He spent 40 years in the trucking industry – doing everything from driving trucks to doing logistics for Payne Transportation for the last several years which he thoroughly enjoyed. He enjoyed fishing, music, going for walks, barbequing for his family, building bonfires, setting off fireworks, and watching Star Trek. His love for these things was great, but his greatest joy was spending time with his wife and his family. He was a man who knew exactly how to love, encourage, and support everyone in exactly the way they needed; his dedication to following Jesus made this possible. His unwavering faith in God was evident his whole life, seen in the way he lived by those values.

We would like to thank St. Boniface Hospital for their loving care for Abe. Thank you to everyone for the love and support, and for the memories shared. Our hearts are broken and we miss him dearly, but find comfort knowing that he is finally free from pain.

We love you Hon! Dad! Papa!
