Obituary

Confidently on Sunday, April 10th, 2022, John H. Funk, aged 91 years, of Winnipeg, MB., passed away at his residence.

John is survived by one son Leslie (Wren) and four grandchildren: Leanne (Peter), Kevin (Alyssa), Susan (Steve) and Mitchell (Kristina) and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents John & Eva, his wife of 50 years, Tina, his younger siblings: Mavis, Leonard and Eva.

His wit, humour and creativity will be missed.

John was a gifted steel craftsman who inspired and amazed many. His latest creation was completed 6 months ago.

The public viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.

The livestreamed public funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB., with reception to follow the service. The interment will take place at Sage Creek Cemetery, Winnipeg, MB.
