Obituary

George passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB.

George will be sadly missed by his wife of 14 years, Jean Pott, daughter Joanne, and granddaughter Jazmin of Okotok’s, Alberta. He is also survived by seven brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law, their spouses and many nieces and nephews.

George’s family in Ontario: George Jr. (Shanon), Gerdie (Pete), Michelle, Diane (Andy), Lisa (Joe), 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

George was predeceased by his parents, two brothers: Bob (Barb) and Jim, his first wife Margarette, brother-in-law Harry Fisher and many nieces and nephews.

Before retiring, George drove semi-truck for 55 years in Canada and the United States, where he made many friends.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff for their exceptional care.

George was cremated, and his ashes have been sent to Peterborough, Ontario for burial.
