Peacefully at home, on Sunday, July 23, 2017, with her loved ones by her side, Marilyn Wallace of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away at the age of 62 years.
She leaves to mourn her three children: Angela (Patrick) Kroeker of Winnipeg, Brian (Jamie) Wallace of Winnipeg, and James Wallace of Winnipeg and six grandchildren: Simon, Jonathon, Landon, Ethan, Johnny and Kane. She also leaves to mourn four sisters: Elma Reimer, Eileen Klassen, Susie Funk and Helen Funk, two brothers: Peter (Anita) Funk and Brian (Anita) Funk; as well as numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Marilyn was predeceased by her father, Peter Funk, in 1991 and her mother, Helen Funk, in 2010.
Marilyn was born on May 25, 1955 in Morris, Manitoba but grew up in Barkfield. She absolutely loved being a grandma to her six grandsons. Family was everything to Marilyn. She was a door greeter at Walmart for almost 10 years where she met lots of great people. She had an infectious laugh and a huge heart that will be greatly missed.
The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and homecare workers that made Marilyn’s journey a comfortable one in her wish to spend her final days at home.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Elim Chapel, 546 Portage Avenue. The interment will take place at 1:30 p.m. at Heritage Cemetery in Steinbach.
