Obituary

Abram Kröker, Mitchell, MB, passed away suddenly at his residence on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at the age of 72 years, 11 months, and 9 days.

He will always be lovingly remembered by his wife Leni (Neufeld); his two sons Edward and Norman. He is also survived by five sisters, one brother, five sisters-in-law, seven brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

Abram was born to Nikolas & Anna Kröker in the colony Fernheim, Paraguay, on December 21, 1949. At the age of 3, he moved to Bolivia with his parents and siblings.

Abram accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of 12. On February 18, 1973, he was baptized by Bishop Diedrich W. Dueck. His baptism scripture was from Colossians 2, 6-7: “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”

He married the love of his life Leni Neufeld on October 7, 1973, and celebrated 49 years together in 2022.

In 2014, the Kröker family moved to Canada.

Abram loved to be a farmer and he enjoyed it as long as he could.

The livestreamed funeral service will be held Friday, December 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB with viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach, MB.
