Obituary

Peacefully on Monday, February 6, 2023, Jean Samborski (nee Kantimere), at the age of 85, passed away at the Heritage Life Personal Care Home, Niverville, MB, where she resided the last few years of her life.

She is survived by: her son Jerry (Verna) Samborski, her daughter Sharon (Bob) Dobson, her grandchildren Marcus (Camille) Samborski, Shelley Samborski, Jeremy Samborski, and Tyler Chomica, great-grandchildren Shea, Nolan, Ayla, Myelle, Isabelle and Lily, siblings Eugene (Olga) Kantimere, Mary Storoschuk, and Nellie Ostrowski.

She was predeceased by: Michael Samborski, her son Randy Samborski, and siblings Anne Wisniewski, Rosie Thauberger, Olga Storoschuk, Elsie White and Michael Kantimere.

Jean was born September 14, 1937. She married Michael Samborski and lived in Roseau River for majority of her life. She loved Camping and did a lot of it over the years in Lake Bronson and Lancaster, MN. She worked as a cook for many years and was known for her amazing meals, her love of garlic apparent in every dish! She cherished her family and could not get enough of her great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.

Ash interment will take place at a later date.
